Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how PriMedical, Inc. and PriCare, Inc. d/b/a PriMed Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects "Consumer Health Data" under the Washington My Health My Data Act (“MHMDA”).
Scope and Important Exemptions.
This policy applies solely to personal information collected in Washington State that is defined as "Consumer Health Data" and subject to the MHMDA.
As a claims case management company, the vast majority of the health information we handle is completely exempt from this law under RCW 19.373.100. This policy does NOT apply to:
- Workers' Compensation & Employment Data: Data processed, maintained, or used in the course of an employment relationship, including workplace injury management, disability claims, and return-to-work coordination.
- Protected Health Information (PHI): Data governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Washington Uniform Health Care Information Act Data: Medical records collected or disclosed under Chapter 70.02 RCW.
Categories of Consumer Health Data We Collect.
- To the extent we collect data outside of the exemptions listed above (such as general inquiries submitted by consumers via our public website or contact forms), we may collect:
- Contact Information and Inquiries: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and any health conditions, symptoms, or treatment details voluntarily provided in open text fields.
- Derived Data: Information inferred from your interaction with our public website pages relating to our services.
Purpose of Collection and Use.
- We collect and use this non-exempt data strictly to:
- Respond to your direct consumer inquiries about our services.
- Provide and maintain the public functions of our website.
Sharing of Consumer Health Data.
- We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share consumer health data with third parties or affiliates unless explicitly authorized by you or strictly necessary to answer a service request you have initiated.
Your MHMDA Consumer Rights.
- If you are a Washington resident and your data falls within the scope of the MHMDA (and is not exempt under Section 1), you have the right to:
- Confirm if we are collecting or processing your data.
- Access a list of all third parties or affiliates with whom data has been shared.
- Request Deletion of your consumer health data.
- Withdraw Consent for the future processing of your data.
